REVIEW

Wonder egg priority has intrigued me because of its trailer. It was colorful, cute yet kind of misleading. It is misleading because I watched it without subtitles. Maybe with subtitles, I would understand that the story has a melancholic story. The story is about a project which entices girls to help save their friends who died of suicide. Four girls joined this project. In order to save their friends, they need to do missions. These missions consist of them saving another girl and killing their insecurity. As the story progresses, the past of the project was unveiled and its mission.

The first episodes were good. The action scenes were nice too. The story highlights what happens to the people who are left behind by people who died of suicide. Guilt and other negative emotions slowly eat up their being. The last 3 episodes were what made me give this anime a 3 hearts rating. I love the animation, it has a colorful vibe that hides the negative stuff. The ending was an open-ended one and it did not satisfy me. But the character development of Ai was good since she went back to school. Also, she is still doing missions which made me think of a season 2. However, no season 2, and probably I would not watch it too. If you are a person who likes bright anime but with a melancholic story then this one is for you.

Thank you and Happy reading,

R
